Was a huge success.
I spent it here in Oberlin for the second time, in favor of being close to the library so I could work on my senior capstone for Religion instead of spending it with a family, which was probably a good choice even though I felt bad for not going.
Myself and 9 other people filled TWC with food, music, dance, and love. Plus the intimate candle environment, wine (mmm Pinot and Nouveau), and desserts. It was a really wonderful thanksgiving and it made me feel so much like an adult, cooking my own thanksgiving. Then we had a dance party, but that's totally thanksgiving, right? Great weekend spent with great people. Couldn't have asked for a better last thanksgiving in Oberlin.
And now I'm 2 days away from finishing my Religion capstone. I'm slightly freaking out, but also just really excited to have it done. 8570 words later and I'm still not done. OMG. Soon though, very soon, and then I won't have to think about it for a very long time. yay.

Long distance
Being in Ohio is finally starting to take its toll on me. I tell people all the time that I when I was looking at colleges I wanted to get away from home, which is so true, and I stil like being away, but sometimes I really miss being home. Mainly because it's been a lot harder for me to maintain friendships long distance and during the school year. I miss and love all my friends and family and I just wish sometimes that we were closer so they could help me through all my shit. I'm glad I'm close to graduating.

A week of, omg my feet and quads are sore.
Yeah, that's right, this past week was so insane.
Monday I went running (whaaaaaat?)
Tuesday was Latin night at the 'sco (awesome)
Thursday was Safer Sex night (whoa, interesting)
Friday was Swing dancing and Modesto's late birthday party (omg prospies gettin it)
Saturday was Rebel Diaz and the Dream Act Week fundraiser (hello random people)
I've had to wear my cushy shoes cause my feet are still a bit sore, I think it was the heels on Thursday that really did me in. But it was awesome. A week full of dancing made me so happy, and made taking care of 42 SOC prospies okay and not finishing my draft on time acceptable.
Can we do this everyday? Oh wait, next semester I will. woot!

me, sports?
So it has recently become known to me that the Oberlin lacrosse team is in need of some players. As some may know, my sibling played lacrosse in high school and college and so I know a little about the game. A friend of mine has decided that I should play for Oberlin lacrosse, which I think is possibly the funniest thing in the world. I'm not exactly the athletic type, especially not the running type, yet the idea of possibly playing on a team sport is nice. I played basketball in middle school and track one year of high school and I really enjoyed it. Could I possibly make it as a college athlete? Good thing I have time to think about it, and potentially time to work on my left handed stick skills. Eeeeek.
